In 1980, Scott Braun began making aluminum stock car bodies for himself and a few of his friends. Soon, word got around about these lighter, yet stronger stock car bodies and an enormous amount of interest was shown. Some 25 years later, Performance Bodies has become a leader in the manufacturing of aluminum stock car bodies, along with plastic nose and tail pieces that racers so often need to replace.

From the beginning, Performance Bodies was built with the weekly racer in mind. Being weekly racers themselves, the team at Performance Bodies knows how important it is to have access to quality parts and great service. Each year they dedicate a large portion of man-hours to research product lines that will fit in with their customers' needs while continuing to provide some of the best service found anywhere.
