The Carolina Racing Supply Story

Carolina Racing Supply, Inc. was established in 1999 by Tom and Missy Sandal for the purpose of supplying racers with affordable components in pursuit of their hobby.

During the past 30 years, Tom has been employed in the racing industry. The first 13 years of Tom's career found him at Hap's Racing Engines in Iowa. Being born and raised in Iowa, the phrase, "Dirt's for racin' and Asphalt's for getting there!" certainly rang true. It was not until the late '80's that the state had its first pavement track. In 1990, Tom moved over to Speedway Motors in Nebraska. While still surrounded by dirt tracks and cornfields, Tom was exposed to many other different types of racing during his 8 years there.

Missy has also been involved in the racing industry for the past 15 years. She gained her experience in Michigan while working in sales for Port City Racing, a leading builder of late model asphalt cars.

As you can see, whether you need parts for your dirt car, a few new pieces for your pavement car, or just some better "stuff" for your motor, the staff at Carolina Racing Supply is ready to serve you."

In 1997, Tom and Missy spent a couple of days during their honeymoon in the Lake Norman area. Upon seeing signs of auto racing virtually everywhere they looked (and hearing from the locals that the lake doesn't freeze over in the winter!), they decided to pursue their dream of starting their own business. In 1998 they made Race City, USA their new home, and the rest is history.
